From Tokyo Racecourse in Tokyo,  Japan the Elite Racing club puts on it’s monthly event,  this one called the Dansili.  Run at 7.5 furlongs (or ~1500 meters for the locals) over what should be a fim turf oval,  a field of six freshman club runners,  will battle it out for the winner’s share of the $100,000 purse on tap,  and to bask in the limelight of the always boisterous trophy presentation ceremony and post race celebration.
.
This event has drawn three fillies and three colts,  so gender bragging rights are at play.  The girl/boy,   girl/boy,   girl/boy barrier assignments add to that story line.  Harrylan lands back on top of the handicapper’s ratings saddling DANSILI’S BRUSH at 9/5 on the morning line.  Second billing goes to summerset‘s filly SECRET KITTEN at 5/2 making her first stakes try,  with dontbetonme‘s filly SILENT NOTHINGNESS,  the sole stakes winner,  right on her heels at 3/1 on the program.  Amir’s CONTRIBUTING seeks a third straight win,  while jbcri (THE DIMPLE PINCH) and tigereye (HIGH CLASS KITTEN) throw their runners into the deep end in their second career start.
.
These ERC events are usually very close affairs at the wire,  and this one looks like it will follow suit.  Let’s take a closer look at the past performances in post position order and see what the figures may tell us.

SECRET KITTEN                                          IRE     2F     rac1             J Whaley         5/2
.
Leading them on to the course is this scratch bred bay filly,  who just missed last out in a NW3L allowance at a mile,  drilling a 90 SP# from just off the pace.  Fastnet Rock femme (by Kris S.) won a local bred allowance at 7 panels one before that,  dropping an 80 SP# from the middle of the pack.  She was 2nd best one back of that in a NW1x allowance at 4.5 furlongs,  drawing a 68 SP#.  Improving filly should like the trip,  may find herself on the lead with lack of front runners in his group;  solid contender from summerset’s rac1 barn.

THE DIMPLE PINCH                                ENG     2M     jbcri8             C Meads         8/1
.
ERC co-honcho jbcri8 saddles this debut winning roan colt,  who won a four horrse hot race maiden at 7 furlongs,  etching a 67 SP# from just off the early pace.  Scratch bred Farhh fellow (by El Prado),  has been a handful for the stable hands,  and the back stretch wise guys have been keeping an eye on his early morning works;  faces more seasoned foes,  but shrewd trainer can not be lightly dismissed despite being the longest shot on the  board.

SILENT NOTHINGNESS                         IRE     2F     dontbetonme7     R Scharf         3/1
.
Scratch bred Invincible Spirit imp (by Nureyev) got the money last time over in the Cocoa listed stakes at three quarters of a mile,  bashing an 87 SP# in a stalking trip.  Striking bay filly setteld for 3rd in her prior try in an open allowance at 6 panels,  banking an 82 SP# after prompting the pace.  One back of that she wired a NW1x allowance at 4.5 furlongs,  bagging a 56 SP# in a four horse affair.  Dontbetonme7 protege has shown some versatility early in her career,  but looks like she’ll have a say in the early fractions and stick around to factor in the decision.

CONTRIBUTINGS                                          NZ     2M     amir1657         C Fairchild         6/1
.
Our other co-honcho,  amir1657,  sends out this striking bay colt off a last to first victory in a NW2L allowance at 6.5 furlongs,  popping an 81 SP# in a four horse field.  Contributer chap,  out of the sim mare Gratz Road (by Munnings),  got up for the win one before that in a local bred maiden at 6.5 panels,  pasting a 76 SP# from the back of the pack.  In his prior try he closed well through the straight to get 3rd in a local bred maiden at 6 furlongs,  posting a 68 SP#  from the rear of the field.  Deep closer will be hoping for a contested pace up front;  seeks 3rd straight win;  dangerous.

HIGH CLASS KITTEN                                FL     2F     zebra3             M Russell         7/1
.
Beautiful bay filly showed some late foot when a close 3rd in her debut in an open maiden at 5.5 furlongs,  flinging a 68 SP# from the middle of the pack.  Admiral Kitten actress,  out of the sim mare Classy Impact (by Deep Impact),  gets an early class test in her second outing;  the stable hands think she has a rosy future,  may be along for a minor share with normal improvement for the zebra3 barn of the tygereye7 racing group.  .

DANSILI’S BRUSH                                        ENG     2M     harrylanlow49         M Goldsbury         9/5
.
Last out of the paddock is the morning line favorite,  who won an open maiden at 7 furlongs in his second start,  sticking an 80 SP# from just off the early leaders.  Dansili dude,  out of the stakes winning sim mare Street Brush (by Street Cry),  settled for 2nd in his debut after getting the lead into the stretch,  stabbing an 80 SP#in a mid pack run.  Bay colt from the harrylanlow49 racing operation should move forward in his third start,  look for him late in the lane.

Good luck everybody,  and may they all come home fast,  safe and sound.
