Got some 14 races on the card for Saturday, so time to dive into it.  This time, I’m including the selections from the awesome YOSS software.

1  De Lonho  9/1-Just missed second in last, otherwise would have win streak of 4 straight, can start another one.

9  He’s So Shy  4/1-Front runner loaded with tons of speed with 117 charted in last two.  Maybe pushing a bit going 12f here.

2  Road Allure  15/1-Two miles was too much in last, back to more manageable distance.

Yoss selections:  9-He’s So Shy, 7-Cape of Lost Hope, 3-Save That Forty

9 Fast Rainbow  6/1-Just came up short at wire in first try with grade level in last, gets job done this time.

11  Judged By Cadet  11/1-Has been flawless since moving to turf in two starts, moves up the ranks and looks to be competitive.

10  Dynas A Dancer  14/1-Won three of five at 9 furlongs including G2 Lake Placid in last, better than odds show.

Yoss selections:  12-Only Choice,  14-King of Silence LV,  9-Fast Rainbow

5  Sweet Matilda  11/1-Did not like slop in last, back to dry track and back to delivering results.

8  Artemi  6/1-Won allowance on turf in last, should get him straightened up for return to dirt and graded.

9  Tributetothefallen 10/1-Moves up to graded after snagging win in listed, speeds of 109 to 110 consistently over last 4 starts, factors for a piece of the purse.

Yoss selections:  8-Artemi, 3-The Jaguar, 1-Outback Nimbin

9  Mt. Independence 6/1-Speed of 92 over mile for this 2 year old in last looks good enough to take this one.

12  Eye Blame Chachin  14/1-Made up ton of ground late in last going mile to get second, love the effort, gets something here.

14  Otto Over Easy  9/1-Won mile distance in last easily wiring field, won’t be so easy this time but can hold on for a piece.

Yoss selections:  9-Mt. Independence, 8-Shaq Impact, 10-Admire Flight

9  Easy Thirty One  5/2-Has a couple disappointments this year, picking up confidence off pair of allowance races, maybe ready to strike at this level.

6  Galactic Fool  8/1-Won four of last five including G3 event.  Speedster can add to this tally.

7  Debs Zip Code  6/1-Will fight with second choice for lead.  Second in last three, hasn’t been out of money for over a year.

Yoss selections: 9-Easy Thirty One, 1-Wonderfully Hot, 6-Galactic Fool

9  Icantremembernow  5/1-Looks good on paper, rarely out of the money.  Seems only times out of money in graded races.  Time to end that burden.

10  Planet URC  6/1-Strong late stretch runner tries grade level for first time, does not dissapoint.

8  Bagels and Lox  9/1-Jumps to graded and this front runner drops from mile to 7 furlongs, could be a spoiler.

Yoss selections: 7-Harmonic Town, 10-Planet URC, 2-Orange Dubloon

7-Stabbing Science  5/2-Enters off a pair of G1 wins preceded by second in G1.  Gelding has won 4 of  6 this season, hard to fault this year.

4-Theseventhtrumpet  4/1-Being asked to go longer as he advances to grade level, I think he can handle this request.

5-Ocean Star  8/1-Has shown ability in past to make up lots of distance late, but has not shown ability to compete at graded level.  This field looks like the chance to proof something.

Yoss selections:  7-Stabbing Science, 4-Theseventhtrumpet, 3-Invincible Kris S

4  O What A Night-9/1  As the song verse continues”…late December, back in ’63″.  I was born at the end of December, 63.   Gotta go with this hunch play

6  Til It’s Gone  5/1-First or second all season long with pair of grade level wins.  Co-favorite is dangerous.

7  Nathan’s Dogs LV  6/1-Made up 8 lengths to land in third in G3 in last for first grade outing, gets more distance and may topple this group.

Yoss selections:  6-Til It’s Gone,  14-The Name is Lyons, 5-Whats in Your Head

10 Pivotal Prince  8/1-Earned wins in last pair of grade starts with speeds of 115 and 117.  Pace setter wears target for field to aim for.

13  Bleecker Street  7/1-Speeds of 113 and up since December and over 6 races.  Hasn’t won during that stretch but top three each time.  Gotta use.

9  Puffing Smoke 9/1-Another one with impressive speed numbers and winner in last, out of money only once this season, factors into exotics.

Yoss selections:  13-Bleecker Street, 9-Puffing Smoke, 10-Pivotal Prince

4  Monssoon  7/2-Last three wins were all at 12 furlongs, grabs another.

5-Frantic Sky  2/1-Shifts over to turf for first time in over a year.  Very capable runner and has run well on turf in past.

7-Deahtlessascension  9/2-Won at 12f in allowance two back with 113 speed.  Has shot to steal this if he can replicate this effort.

Yoss selections:  6-Monssoon, 5-Frantic Sky, 7-Deathlessascension

15  Destroyer of Sins  7/1-Speeds have been 110 or higher since last October, peaked with mind lowing 122 in last.  Child of hall of fame Project Matter won last two, can notch another.

14  The Bu Daddy  15/1-Has been on amazing run at mile distance winning 4 in a row including listed in last with a career best speed of 120.  Faces 19 others here, could be another amazing run.

18  Eden Street  12/1-Second in last two grade starts and looks in remarkable form with 119 and 115 speeds in those races.

Yoss selections:  15-Destoryer of Sins,  20-Dance Front, 14-The Bu Daddy

2  Johny Bag O Donuts  5/1-Long 5 race win streak came to end when testing mile in last, finished second.  Back to sprint, back to winning.

1  Polar Adventure  9/2-Won last two listed stakes hitting with seasonal best speeds of 110 and 112.  Has struggled with grade level before, but blends in nicely in this field.

5  Kompany  12/1-Has put in some nice races in last three, all allowance starts.  Could add some value to trifecta.

Yoss selections: 4-Gynavel, 2-Johny Bag O Donuts, 1-Polar Adventure

9  Tanino Marci  9/1-Had six consecutive races in listed stakes where she was in top three finishes until last race in allowance on off track.   Ready for leap to graded.

10  Smuggler’s Dream  10/1-Three of last four races with speeds of 110 or over, may be good enough to walk off with win in this race.

6  I’m an Angel  12/1-Won last going at mile with 113 speed.  This late runner may mow the field down.

Yoss selections: 7-Power Crossing, 10-Smuggler’s Dream, 8-Priah

New Zealand  MILTON’S MILE

10  Focus on Sanity  9/2-Running 110+ speeds all year with exception of off-track race.  Gets job done

5  The Dream Zone  6/1-Speeds of 110 or better over last five starts with trio of wins, moves to graded and takes this if top choice falters.

1 General Attitude  7/1-Won last three turf outings at distances of mile to 9 furlongs.  This race is a mile and this runner is in right conditions.

Yoss selections 5-The Dream Zone, 14-Mighty Cross, 10-Focus on Sanity

  1. Sorry, article was focused on the grade races on Saturday. But I did give a quick look at that race and this is what I would go with:

2-Cozzene Seas won three straight and moved up to mile distance with success. Better than breeding shows.
5-VT Mighty Awesome also won all three starts, last with 90 speed, but at 7.5f where speeds tend to be inflated. Good breeding and handles climb to mile distance.
3-Stock Down has only one race and at 7.5 furlongs where she showed late run ability. May like even longer distances.

  2. Anything on This Race?
