Ten races are carded in the sim-nation on Sunday that are grade level races and here is a tipsheet with my selections for each race.

THE WILEY JENNY- Kentucky

9-Coupon Collector  10/1-Filly has won three in a row at mile including listed in last.  Returns to grade level and is hitting career best speed levels.  Time is right to get the win.

13-Knot For Sail  5/1-Finished third in last in first try with grade level.  Could improve off that effort.

4-Banshii Invastion-14/1-Makes second start after a layoff and looks ready as she won in allowance with solid 113 speed.  Bears keeping a close eye on.

THE STONERSTOP-Kentucky

1-Slick Power  9/2-Eclipse Award winner has won 7 of 9 starts.  Won last two in graded competition and last four starts.  Class of the field makes it five straight.

2-U Hot Devil  6/1-Cuts back on distance from mile to 7f and this front runner should get some benefit out of this, could try to break away from field.

13-Smart Old Man  19/1-First pair of lifetime starts are toss aways as he raced in listed events.   Won MSW, Allowance and listed stakes after better placement and may be greatly overlooked by the bettors.

THE COMMONWEALTH-Kentucky

10-Storm Ready Cadet  6/1-Speeds of 110+ in five of last six starts and has won last three.  Tons of late runners in this one and they will be storming to the wire, this one looks ready to get there.

14-He’s In Shape  7/1-Was disappointing in Equinics and may have had some wear from 120 speed in Malibu Sprint win and 2nd in Breeders’ Bowl Sprint.  Classy horse and if in shape, this could be his.

12-Zayour  13/1-Likely to be pace setter or very close to the front.  Only real front runner that has a chance.

SPUR OF THE MOMENT-Ontario

3-Stylo Rags  5/1-Knocking at door last three, all second place finishes with two in allowance and last in Hurricane Ben Handicap, missing by a head.  Time to get that head on the line first.

1-Honorer Et Servir  5/2-Favorite has long time experience racing at top stake levels.  Girl has late speed but hasn’t had the strongest of finishes lately.

8-Medixenon  7/1-Has finished first or second in eight consecutive races.  Takes leap out of allowance straight to grade level.  Gets opportunity to proof if she belongs here and I feel she will put in a good showing.

THE FORCE STAKES-Paris

2-Teza Novelty  4/1-Late closer has won last two by good margins going 9 furlongs.  Adds a furlong and it won’t hurt at all.

1-Frankel Royale  2/1-Three straight wins with last in listed stake in poor weather conditions.  Each win by solid two or more lengths and she will be looking to add on to the win streak.

4-Aaron Judge  3/1-ITM in six of seven lifetime starts and only one in field to surpass 100 speed.  Cannot exclude.

NELL GWYN-Newmarket

3-Crimson And Dead  9/2-Equinics winner rallied from backside of field to front and has won four in a row.  Streak does not die here.

7-Tadashi’s Dream  9/2-ITM in all seven lifetime starts and includes pair of listed stake wins that were gained in last pair of starts.   Solid runner gets piece.

1-Sign The Petition  9/2-Experienced stake runner has pair of wins and seconds in five stake races which includes second in last, Czech 1000 Guineas.  Looks good on paper.

SPRING CUP-Japan

11-Arsat  9/1-Has won 4 of last 5 at two miles including Equinics and Millwood Cup.  Lots of value here.

1-Ozzzy Dingo  6/1-Solid 7 stride win in Diamond Stakes over this track in last and first time going two miles.   Fits well in this field.

5-Cries for Oil  10/1-Second in Equinics two mile turf race, moving to the grass for first time in over year.   Rallied from last, 20 lengths back to five length deficit.  Offers nice price.

THE 5-SERIES-Victoria

1-Best Bite Ever  10/1-Colt had wake-up call with start of 2018 season as speeds have been 117 and 116 in last two, winning New Zealand Darby by three at 15/1.  Offers another generous payout.

7-Historical Impact  7/1-Was third behind Best Bite Ever in New Zealand Darby with nice late run effort slicing 18 strides back to 3.   If jockey can keep closer by midway point, he could be a winner.

10-Dolly’s Boy  9/2-Won three grade races with speeds of 119 to 120 since September but had tough time in big races (Breeders’ Bowl and Equinics).   Has chance to redeem self in this decent field of competitors.

THE DOCTOR IS IN MEMORIAL-Germany

6-Invincible Dane   9/1-With 8 of 11 entrants in this race at 6/1 or 7/1 odds, I’m going against the popular opinion and going with the three that are not in those odds.  This one had speed bump from 91 to 100 in last finishing fourth in Golden Rose after a trio of seconds in listed.

7-Comeback Clonmel 11/1-Makes fourth start of year with first three in listed, finishing second in two of these.  Best speed was at 8.5 furlongs and comes back to this distance after tough 9.5 outing.

9-Barbara Blue Claw  19/1-Broke maiden and won allowance at end of 2017 at 8.5 distance.  Ran in 10.5 Super Hero Role Playing grade race and finished fifth.  Did not seem to like that distance nor the off-track setting.  Back to preferred distance.

HANNA BARBERA CAP-Turkey

8-Till It’s Gun  8/1-Cut distance back to 10 furlongs in Equinics turf start after running much longer since last June.  Ran best speed of 115 and finished second, missing by half length.  Sticks to 10 furlongs in what hopes to be ideal distance for this runner.

13-Logic Bomb  6/1-Has two wins and two thirds in last five starts in mix of listed and grade stake outings.   Mid-field runner adds on a furlong looks like the extra flank will be of benefit.

11-Super Indy Cat  11/1-Moved back to turf last October and won twice in listed with a second and finished fourth in graded.  Has lovely late speed and runs well on both turf and dirt.  Earns another paycheck.

  1. Sorry about the typo. Gets hard going back and forth between multiple screens. I can only promise you that I am human and I will make more typos in the future :)

  2. STONER race in Kentucky #13 is SMART OLD MOON……lol but ill take the SMART OLD MAN reference and I do believe that 19-1 is way high for this easy winner of his last 3……lol
