snooze n you lose             corza1 barn                         p bangs                     8/1

This five year old son of Shamardal comes in following a win at an allowance race in Surrey in late March. He has hit the board in all three of his starts this year and hopes to keep the streak going. Entering his first Graded Stakes race of his career here today but has shown enough speed to compete against this competitive field of nine.

This impressive five year old son of Giant’s Causeway has finished in the money in nine of twelve career starts and is closing in on one and a half million dollars in earnings. He has competed in four straight Grade 1 Stakes and has a win and two third place finishes in those starts. He will deservingly be one of the favorites here today.

This four year old from Giant’s Causeway finished third last time out at the Grade 2 “Victoria Cup” where he was beaten by a length and a half despite posting the best speed of his career. Has responded well since being gelded a year ago, having finished in the money in six of nine starts since then including two wins. He comes in well rested, will like this distance and should be one to reckon with here today.

impacto monstruo                        desimster3 barn                t kelly                                    8/1

Our youngest and most inexperienced entry here today is this four year old son of Deep Impact. In nine career starts he has finished in the money in six starts including three wins at this distance. His last start out was his first Graded Stakes start and he finished a disappointing sixth despite posting his fifth straight plus 100 speed. He should be in the mix here today and could be a good long shot pick.

barb’s scar                           mysweetlife barn             b f abman                 7/1

This four year old son of Kitten’s Joy has raced almost exclusively at Stakes Races with twelve of the last thirteen being at that level. His last start was a big win at the Grade 3 “Night at The Exbury” where he posted a career best 115 speed in a come from behind victory at this same distance. He will be in tough here today and may need a new career best to compete with this group.

cache club                            safrace2 barn                     n bonus                     7/2

This five year old son of Variety Club has had a great start to the 2018 campaign with two wins and a runner up finish. His last time out was an impressive victory at the Grade 3 “Awa Pooie Gold Cup” where he posted career best 118 speed to win by more than two lengths at this same distance. He has been a model of speed consistency since last February and should definitely challenge here today.

impact wells                       ddstables12 barn              r bokie                      12/1

This four year old son of Deep Impact had a disappointing eleventh place finish his last time out but previous to that had a big win at the Grade 3 “Lipstick Guineas” where he posted a career best 112 speed. His longest start has been at one mile so it will be interesting to see how he handles the extra distance here today against this field.

tune up                                 silverstarz barn                 b oston                     9/1

This five year old from Desert King recently had a “tune up” and was gelded. Since then he has responded with a fourth and a ninth place finish and has not finished in the money since late July 2017. He did have a win at this level and distance when he took home the “Big Red Stakes” as a three year old in August 2016. Has shown some speed in the past but might not have enough to compete here.

rooboy                                  cjt1 barn                               c wyatt                      16/1

This four year old son of Australia showed good speed last time out when he finished as the runner up at the “Phargad Lord Turf Challenge”. His previous start to that was a twelfth place finish at the Grade 1 “Mr. Met Cap”. It is hard to know which horse will show up as he has been very inconsistent throughout his career. Might be over matched here today.
