Hello it’s DUNN and I am on location in New York for a very special episode of “JOCKEYS ON HORSES GETTING MILK”. I am here to preview the URC “UP FOR GRABS”, a race for two year olds that covers seven and a half furlongs on turf with a purse of $75,000

We’ll do things a little different on this episode as we will meet the seventeen Jockeys that are featured in this race and let them tell us about the horse they are riding.

I’m DUNN and this is “JOCKEYS ON HORSES GETTING MILK”!

DUNN WALKS TO FIRST BARN TO MEET JOCKEY LISA HOSKINS

Dunn: Hey Lisa! How’s it going? Who you riding today?

Lisa: I am working with the ohcanada farm for this race and am thrilled to be riding BUZZIDENT TWO . She has been great to work with so far and I really hope that she takes after her brother who has been a real  success story for the ownership team. She had nice speed last time out and if she improves on that we should be in the mix.

Dunn: Have a great race!! Of course I will be cheering for you since you are riding my son’s horse.

DUNN MOVES ON TO THE NEXT BARN AND IS GREETED BY JOCKEY BRANDON RENFROE

Brandon: Hey Dunn, how are you doing? Come on over and see this great filly I am working with.

Dunn: Man she does look impressive! Tell me a little about her.

Brandon: This here is GUMBY AND POKEY a POINT OF ENTRY lass out of the vettstarsnfarm. She has had  a win and a runner up in her two starts and showed nice speed last time out. I think the extra distance is going to work in her favour and I hope we have a good trip today and bring home the win.

DUNN MOVES ON TO BARN NUMBER THREE AND MEETS JOCKEY RAY MICHAELS

Dunn: Hey Ray, how is my horse doing?

Ray: He is doing fine Dunn and of course as you always do you have given him a ridiculous name. SPIORAD DORCHA? What does that even mean? The good news is that he can run Dunn, the bad news is I am not sure he will be able to last the full distance. He seemed to fade last time out at six and a half furlongs so I am a bit surprised you aren’t trying him at less. I will try to get him to conserve some energy and hopefully win you some money.

DUNN MOVES ON TO THE NEXT BARN AND IS GREETED BY JOCKEY SAL GRAVINA

Sal: Hey Dunn! Come on over and meet the competition. This is FASTER STILL out of the isittrue farm and a son of first year sire BLOFELD.  He has had a nice start to his young career and has only missed the board once in four starts and posted nice 80 speed in one. All of those came on dirt though and based on our training so far I am not sure that he is fond of the turf. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Dunn: Have a great ride Sal!

DUNN MOVES ON TO BARN NUMBER FIVE AND MEETS JOCKEY DEREK NABINGER

Dunn: Derek, it’s great to see you. Who are you riding today?

Derek:  I am riding CARAS ALIBI out of the  the babies2 farm. This is a really nice filly that has had three straight runner up finishes with the most recent coming in Kentucky where she ran 75 speed over seven and a half furlongs. She seems to have settled in nicely in the turf after starting her career on dirt. I am really going to have to ride a great race to give us a chance here against this field.

Dunn: Best  of luck to you Derek.

DUNN MOVES ON TO BARN NUMBER SIX AND MEETS JOCKEY CHLOE TOOL

Dunn: Hey Chloe is that liam20′s colt  there?

Chloe: That’s right Dunn, this is THE WESTERN STAR from the liam20 farm. He is a son of ZOUSTAR and had a really nice win last time out and is continuing his trend of going a half a furlong more in every start. He seems to be responding well and I think of all the entries he might be the most prepared for this distance. This is going to be a great race Dunn.

DUNN WALKS DOWN TO BARN NUMBER SEVEN AND IS GREETED BY JOCKEY CHRIS GERHKE

Chris: Hey Dunn, great to see you, Come on over and check out KINGMAN’S CRY from the tencentbargain barn. His Sire KINGMAN is not quite a dollar store buy but he can be got for pretty cheap right now and he is producing some winners. This colt here has only finished outside the money once. He can really go and I think we might see 80 speed from him here today and he will definitely be in the mix down the home stretch.

DUNN WALKS DOWN TO BARN NUMBER EIGHT AND MEETS JOCKEY HENRY ROSS

Dunn: Hey Henry who is that fine colt you are saddling?

Henry: This is DANCE WITH MEGHAN from the oldmoonselite7 barn. He has recorded one of the top speeds of all the entries here and he had a big long shot win in a previous start where he made a late dash to win by a head. I have been working to get him out a bit earlier and hopefully all of the hard work will pay off and he will find his way to the winners circle.

DUNN WALKS DOWN TO BARN NUMBER NINE AND IS GREETED BY JOCKEY ISOBEL TORRES

Isobel: What a great idea for your show Dunn! I hope to be drinking some milk in the winner’s circle when this is done. Today I am riding DAIMA DOZEN out of the nanna barn. He is a really great colt that has finished in the money in all three of his starts and had his first win last time out when he ran 79 speed over seven furlongs. I think he might go 80+ today and that will give us a good chance of getting the win.

DUNN WALKS DOWN TO BARN NUMBER TEN AND MEETS JOCKEY STEVE YOUNGBLOOD

Dunn: Hey Steve who are you working with today?

Steve: I am working with the darkhuntera barn and this son of HENRYTHENAVIGATOR named EXCEPTION E. In working with him I think he is really going to like this distance and seems to like the turf best after racing on the dirt two starts back. Hopefully we will get a good trip today and might find ourselves on the board.

DUNN WALKS DOWN TO BARN NUMBER ELEVEN AND IS GREETED BY JOCKEY WILL McLENDON

Will: Dunn, check out this great young horse! I am working with the robd barn and their young colt STAR STOCK. He’s got lots of speed and I think we might see him break 80 in this race. He is coming in off a second place finish in his debut where he was impressive and ran 78 speed over seven furlongs. I am really excited about this race Dunn!

DUNN WALKS DOWN TO BARN NUMBER TWELVE AND IS GREETED BY JOCKEY SUSAN NOLES

Susan: I can’t believe the host of my favorite show is here to see me! Great to meet you Dunn! Today I am pleased to be working with the quilly7 barn and am riding a fine colt JUST A DESTINY. He has a win and a third in four career starts and has been adding a little distance each time out. He has been running well leading up to the race and I hope he will have a good showing here today. Thanks for stopping by Dunn, it really is an honor to be on your show as I have never missed an episode.

DUNN WALKS DOWN TO BARN NUMBER THIRTEEN AND MEETS JOCKEY VICTORIA WEBB

Dunn: Hey Victoria  is that the entry from the bestpal barn?

Victoria: Yes Dunn this colt is SCREEN CAPTURE who is entering his third start today and is in search of his second win. He is returning to this distance after running 82 speed in California in late July against a field of twelve. It will be more crowded out there today but I like our post position and think we have a good shot at finding a spot on the board. It is going to be a really exciting race.

DUNN WALKS TO BARN NUMBER FOURTEEN AND IS GREETED BY JOCKEY JOSE BENISZ

Jose: Dunn, you finally made it down to see me. Today I am working with the plugger03 barn and their star colt DEVILS CAFE. He has back to back wins and ran 84 speed over a mile last time out. He is a great runner and will love this distance. He is the deserving favorite and I am confident that we will find a spot on the board against this impressive field.

DUNN WALKS TO BARN NUMBER FIFTEEN AND IS GREETED BY JOCKEY ROB RADZINSKI

Rob: Hey Dunn, come on over and meet this speedy colt DARUJHISTAN out of the pilotfish5 barn. He is coming off a big win last time out where he ran 83 speed over seven furlongs. He has finished in the money in three of his five career starts and I think he might add to that today. This is a big competitive field though so I guess we will just have to wait and see.

DUNN WALKS TO BARN NUMBER SIXTEEN AND IS GREETED BY JOCKEY ROY HAFFNER

Roy: Careful Dunn, don’t get too close. Trouble is brewing over in this barn as I am working with MR. TROUBLE MAKER out of the fishstix6 barn. He is an interesting horse, I wouldn’t say he is trouble but he definitely has some attitude. It seems to be working though as he has been successful in all three of his starts and had a third place finish last time out at the Racing HQ Golden Boot.

Dunn: Have a great race Roy!

DUNN WALKS TO BARN NUMBER SEVENTEEN AND MEETS JOCKEY FRANK RANKSTER

Dunn: Hey Frank that horse looks brand spanking new!

Frank: You are right Dunn, this is the first race for MOON BROKER out of the drinkwater barn. He is the son of little used Sire MOON BALLAD who has produced two winners this year. I am not sure that we will add to that today but I am going to push him pretty hard and see what he can do.
