1) el donnerino
j ledwith 6/1
Out of the bikeboy farm is this five year old EL PADRINO gelding. He comes in off a win at an allowance race in Pennsylvania where he ran 110 speed at this distance. He has ten wins in twenty-five starts but is trying his luck at Graded Stakes for the first time. He has shown some good consistent speed and should have enough to compete here.
2) sunset on fire
r whisper 7/2
Out of the lucha farm is this five year old AWESOME AGAIN gelding. He comes in off a seventh place finish at the Grade 1 Sourball Mile where he ran 108 speed. Prior to that he had two third place Grade 2 finishes and a runner up at the Grade 3 Nordic Chemical. He has performed well since being gelded at the end of the 2017 campaign and should be in contention here today out of the two hole.
3) yankee sidney
do tyrrell 42/1
Out of the jerseycoast farm is this four year old MR.SIDNEY stallion. He comes in off back to back wins at allowance races in Paris that covered eight and a half furlongs. These were the first two races from his new barn and he seemed to respond well. He has recorded 100+ speed just once in his career and he will need to show speed to compete against this group.
4) yankee twin
m day 42/1
Out of the yankeeman farm is this four year old NO NAY NEVER stallion. He comes in off a runner up finish at an allowance race where he ran 99 speed over eight and a half furlongs on dirt. He has not raced this year and all but two of twelve his career starts have been on dirt with only his first two being on turf.
p nine 9/2
Out of the newmarket8 farm is this four year old DUBAWI stallion. He comes in off a runner up finish at the Grade 3 One Mile Classic in Sweden where he ran 111 speed. He has finished in the money in twelve of eighteen career starts and has run ten straight 100+ speed races. He should be in the mix here and could find a spot on the board for the first time in four Grade 2 starts.
6) hyper beam
j stivers 4/1
Out of the foamy farm is this five year old REDOUTE’S CHOICE stallion. He comes in off back to back wins with the most recent coming at the Grade 3 Harry Carey Memorial where he ran 114 speed at this distance. He has had a very successful year with five wins in six starts and close to two-hundred thousand in earnings. He is trying Grade 2 for the first time here but should like the distance and has shown enough speed to compete with this group.
7) betta be kirby
b ball 5/1
Out of the blackbart farm is this four year old GIANT’S CAUSEWAY stallion. He comes in off back to back fourth place finishes at allowance races. This will be his tenth start of the year and he will look to get his record for the year back to even. He has been most successful at distances longer than a mile so he may be in tough here at this distance. He might be a nice long shot pick.
8) revolutionary zeal
s l ledwith 6/1
Out of the debargain farm is this four year old ENGLISH CHANNEL gelding. He comes in off back to back finishes where he did not find a spot on the board and has just two runner up finishes in his six starts this year and since being gelded. He has shown some good speed but has faced strong competition in three Graded Stakes and a Stakes start. He is coming back on just three weeks rest and will need his best against this field of ten.
9) yankee allure
f ryant 14/1
Out of the jerseydevil farm is this five year old GOLD ALLURE stallion. This is his first start of 2018 and he also is trying Graded Stakes for the first time. He has finished in the money in fifteen of his twenty-two starts with ten wins. He registered 107 speed in June of last year but it is hard to predict how he will respond after the long layoff.
10) home base
p bangs 7/1
Out of the eminc2 farm is this four year old MUHAARAR stallion. He comes in off five straight Stakes starts that resulted in one win and four disappointing finishes with the most recent being at the St. Defiant Turf Memorial where he finished eighth and never really was a factor. He has had a busy year and comes here on just three weeks rest but hopes the change in routine might result in a better performance.
