URC – Pegasus World Cup Turf

Welcome to the first annual URC- Pegasus World Cup Turf Race. This is one of a series of races for the competition we are running including races in World Cup and Dubai day series. The winner of the contest wins 2500 Credits and the winner of each race receives 500 credits. Not too shabby. I take good care of my People.Let’s get to the entries.

Led out by the comedian of URC,  Kimugle. He won a local stakes race last time out busting out w a 113 Sp figure. And also in July of 2018 we won a G3 race at 10F running a 116 Sp. # breaking a URC Turf Speed record. He is the morning line favorite. The one to beat.

 

2  COZENA                                          Ire      5M     oakridge8    P Chute   12/1

Oakridge has his mare entered here who is 10 for 12 ITM lifetime. Two back she was entered in the URC – L Arc de Triomphe where she had the lead up until the last call and she finished 2^nd. Her last win was at 10F in an Alw.

 

3  FROST BARBARIAN                         Ky      4C       spqr6th      M Kiprusoff    11/1

Here comes the new Barbarian in URC. None other than Waremblem. We spoke prior to him getting him ready for the race. He stated, “Frost Barbarian is looking to become the 3rd stakes winner from the only G1 winning War Emblem in the SIM, War in Heaven. He took a big leap forward in his seasonal debut. Is 3/3 at the distance. If he is going to ever become a stakes winner we should know after this. Has all the tools to be major threat in the race. Based on last effort, seems capable of throwing a 115. Then again, it could have all been a onetime thing and he will remain an allowance horse ultimately destined for claims. Huge moment in his career.” Looks to be right there at the finish line.

 

4  PIVOTAL HAPPENING                        Eng      6G       10000    G Ayso        7/1

This Gelding from wshumaker is royally bred. Pivotal x Storm Cat x Montjeu. His last 3 races he won were all at claiming races.  If he fires like he did in his last race he has a shot.

 

5  SADIRA                                                  Eng      5H     oakridge13   W Bayless     7/1

And oakridge’s 2^nd entry in this race. His Sadira has won 2 in a row. He is the winner of last year’s URC Breeder’s Championship Turf race who holds the URC record in that Race w/ a 112 sp figure. He will run close to the lead and try to steal it.

 

6  CHROME CITY                                      Ky      4C     kingsclaim       A Hudson    16/1Out from the 6 hole comes Pboy who has his California Chrome horse that looks like the turf a little more than the dirt. He has won 2 out of his last 4 races. His sp #’s are rising as he gets older so he might be an upset here.  7  MASTER TEXTS                                    Saf     5H     liddleski      I Lopez-Onna    15/1Here comes a hunk of a Horse w/ the dashing looks of the trainer Liddleski. This horse is 2 for 11 lifetime and his trainer responded, “I’m expecting a top four finish with this one if not I will be very disappointed with anything else.”  8  MY IRISH ANGEL                                 Ire     5H     danscand     D Dowell    7/2Legions has this Grey Horse by Dark Angel who has the most experience in this race won his last 2 races at Allowance level.  He just missed a G3 by a ½ length running a fast 113 Sp #. I think he will sit mid pack and then make his run. Hopefully he can catch the leader.  Definitely a top 3 finish.  9  NATURAL HAT TRICK                    Ger     4C     jms7777   B wu      9/1He is a 4 year old who was great as a two year old, winning a G1 and G2 on the turf. His three year old season was disappointing as he was winless on the year and only hit the board on 2 of 8 races. He is still a decent horse, most of his races have been run at 8 furlongs, maybe the added distance of this race will be to his liking.  10  LES BLEU                           Fr      5G     robd15     R Scharf     25/1Here is a Gelding that is bred beautifully. He was bred in 2017 and broke his maiden 3 races into his career. He won his next race both sprints.  He didn’t do much after that until his trainer robd  changed his stables and realized that he wasn’t a sprinter and put him in a 16F race which he won  2 weeks ago. He could as Ali once stated, “Shock the world!!!”  11  BABY CHASE                  Ky    4G    alphaandomega3   J Bradley   45/1 An American Pharoah sired gelding looking for a win in this one who is currently 45/1 odds. He looks be a claimer and He’ll need a lot of help in this one.  I think he is over his head in this race. But any cartoon horse can win at any odds.   12   GLENZIG                                    Ire    4C    galwaystable   M Scott   7/1And finally the last horse in the race.  Another blue blood that hasn’t won in his last 4 races. His last win came in the G2 The Guillaume in Aug. which he scored a 110 Sp figure. He’s a closer and given a month and a half to get his stuff together. I feel he should bust out w a nice # and could win this race.
