8 in The Hill Side Challenge
Hello all and welcome to North Florida for the running of The Hill Side Challenge. A field of 8 mares have lined up today to contest this years race. A big crowd is expected as the skies are blue and the sun is out and shinning.
The Hill Side Challenge Grade III A mile and one eighth Firm Turf $150,000 Fillies and mares, 4 years old and up
PP#1 SOUND THE HORN(KY) fairhaven5 H McCoy 5/2 Four year mare who is n fine form. Has been racing in stakes and group races for some good results. 3 starts at the distance for 2 wins and a third and her last start was at this distance where she stormed home for an easy win. The favorite here today and will be hard to beat
PP#2 MESSAGE IN BLOOD(KY) sarava02 B Gruber 10/1 Four year old mare who is dropping down in distance here today. Has only once raced in Group races and that was in a GRP1 where she finished fourth. Since then has been racing at stakes and allowance company for some good and bad results. drops down in distance but goes up in class and is the long shot so shouldn't worry these.
PP#3 FLEETWOOD LEETA(KY) fleetwood E Degon 5/1 Five year old mare with plenty of racing under her belt. Four starts at the distance for a win and a second, so he has a 50/50 chance. If he can match or go better than his last start he will be a good chance here.
PP#4 CUP RUNNITH OVER(ENG) fil G Centers 6/1 Five year old mare who dropped back in distance last start for an instant improvement. Has plenty of racing experience and should be considered a place chance.
PP#5 JUDGEMENT DAYS(KY) stctees W McGhee 9/1 Four year old mare who has been racing in much weaker company. She is yet to miss the placings at the distance, but is yet to race at higher class than allowance. Could be an improver, but hard to see him do well here.
PP#6 THE MARMADUKE(IRE) indemnity K Braun 9/2 Four year old mare who has been racing in allowance and stakes company for some good results of late. Is considered as one of the main chances due to his last start.
PP#7 PRIMARY FORCE(KY) mtk76stc O A Haack 3/1 Six year old mare who is the second favorite here today and is still racing well for her age. Has won and been placed in some nice group races and has got to be considered as a big shot here today.
PP#8 SALUTE THE OIL(AUS) lordpye5 Ga Walker 8/1 Another six year old mare who has plenty of races under her belt. Hasn't raced in a group races since 2011 where she didn't do well in a GRP3. Has some nice form lately but that's in allowance and stakes company, but does love this distance. Must be considered a slight place chance if she gets the race her way.
