Freud (13568)

Freud is a 9y old son of Storm Cat out of Mariah’s Storm, by Rahy, making him a full brother to leading young sire and European Horse of the Year Giant’s Causeway. He is also full brother of Roar of the Tiger and Tumblebrutus. In real life Freud is represented in 3 racingcrops by about 13 runners who have won or placed in Stakes.

In the sim Freud is not used that much and often available end of the week. He has one graded winner, two stakeswinners and a graded placed one. Most of his runners seem to prefer dirt and are active in sprints and at classic distance.

His better simrunners do have some similarities in their pedigree:

-         his two graded runners both have LYPHARD in the pedigree. One through the DSspot, the other through the DDSspot.

-         Both graded runners have a Northern Dancer x Prospector cross

-         5 of his 6 Stakesrunners have inbreeding to Northern Dancer

-         most of his better runners do carry this ND inbreeding and/or the ND x Prospector cross

-         I’ve also seen inbreeding to SECRETARIAT and BOLD RULER a couple of times

-         Putting a son of Prospector in the damsirespot seems to work to have a decent runner

Options for breeding:

-         go for a son of Lyphard in the damsire spot: WALDOBORO, PHARLY, MANILA, DANCING BRAVE, DAHAR, ALZAO

-         if you go for Lyphard in the damsirespot I would go for a son of Prospector for the DDSspot

or

-         go for a son of Prospector in the damsirespot.

-         Go for some extra inbreeding to a chef-de-race: hail to reason or secretariat or Roberto or bold ruler
