THE HORSE RACING MEMORABILLA RESIDENCY
"ANNOUNCING"
The Public "Grand Opening" of the Testbarn Residency - a residency that will be embracing the local-bred concept, with a Left (West) Coast influence featuring the CA, OR and WA race tracks, where residency competitions will be held. With no prior residency management experience, all I can promise is A Good Ride and a 110% effort and involvement from me!
What's in a Name?
The 'Test Barn' was, to me, the last place you saw before heading over to the Front Side / Saddling Paddock and the first place the top 3 finishers + 1 random selection go after the race (for a piss test.) It is also a place where a lot of the race track characters hang out, and/or meet up, before going over to the front side to watch the races.
The Testbarn Residency
I want this to be a member driven residency where, no matter how big or small you are, you have a stake in the residency's success or failure and a voice in its direction. As a whole I am also hoping to get a lot of input from both veteran simsters and newbies alike and, since we are starting from scratch and I have little or no residency management experience, I am going to let the members decide the direction we take.
Expectations
My own personal expectation for the residency is that it will become competitive with other major residencies within a year. As a member you can expect: firstly, an equal voice in residency decisions, regardless of your total stable size and, secondly, to receive whatever support and knowledge I have to offer!!
+++Contests and Prizes+++
The residency will run both racing and handicapping contests. There will be both 'Single Events' and 'Series Events.' Prizes will be in the form of Sim-horses, game credits, and/or horse racing memorabilia - which I personally collect, sell on ebay, and will provide for residency contests.
So - if you like to interact with other players, want to be a big fish in a small pond, like competitions & contests, or just want to be part of something "New & Different"
