The Elite Racing Club presents: MISSION IMPAZIBLE

Stakes – Sponsored – Purse : $100,000  -  4+ Year Olds  -  Owner Restricted
7 Furlongs | ~1400 Meters | Seven Eights of a Mile | Dirt

Start spreading the news we’re racing today. Eight horses are a part of it in old New York. They’re going to wake up in a city that doesn’t sleep and find it tough to get the win and be top of the heap. Their past races blues are melting away and they’ll go to a new start in old New York. If they can make it here, they’ll make it anywhere. Who will get the win, New York , New York.

That’s right folks we are in the Big Apple for the Elite Racing Club’s Mission Impazible.  Eight club runners will go seven furlongs on the dirt in a battle for the winner’s share of $100,000 and for the bonus award credits that will decide the club’s Stakes bonus champion of 2019.

The always dangerous jbcri and summerset send out the early line co-favorites with HI ALL and CHANNEL TWELVE.  dunndowns SHIPWRECK BAY and amir AUSTRALIAT compete as the co-second choice.  jb3 has the improving TROUBLING MISSION ready to compete as the co-third choice sharing those odds with dontbetonme and his newly claimed LOOKING AT OX LV.  Current club points leader harrylan,  has the fourth choice of the handicapper with AMERICAN GALLOP and last but not least comes the longest shot on the board at 115/1, the big baby DEATHINNEX,  from the newfydowns operation.

Let’s take a look at the field of eight.

1) hi all
jbcri41 barn
t ace                                        5/2

Out of the jbcri41 barn is this five year old ZENSATIONAL stallion. He has finished in the money in seventeen of his twenty three starts. He has raced almost exclusively at Stakes races since last July and has two wins, a second, and a third in those seven starts. His last start came just four weeks ago at the “Nitro Dirt Sprint” where he ran impressive 113 speed. Hopefully the short rest will not affect his performance here today and he will add to his more than $300,000 in career earnings.

2) channel twelve
newyearz2 barn
s israel                                      5/2

Out of the newyearz2 barn is this five year old DROSSELMEYER gelding. He comes in off a ninth place finish at the “Rattle My Chain Dirt Challenge” where he ran 105 speed and was never really in the race. In his other three starts of 2019 he has had two sixth place finishes at Grade 3 and had a runner up at the “Annual Home Dirt Mile” where he came from well back to close on the leaders.  He has had success at this distance in the past and hopes a return here will get him back on track.

7) american gallop
harrylanst barn
f gossett                                  11/1

Out of the harrylanst barn is this four year old AMERICAN PHAROAH colt. He has finished in the money in five of his eleven starts but has failed to find a spot on the board in his last three. He comes in well rested with his last start coming in late May when he ran 110 speed over seven and a half furlongs and lead for most of the way. He will go seven here for the first and time and I think will respond well an d should be one to watch as they head for home.

3) australiat
amir1615 barn
i cast                                        4/1

Out of the amir1615 barn is this five year old AUSTRALIA stallion. He has finished in the money in sixteen of his twenty one starts and comes in off a runner up finish where he ran 110 speed at this same distance. He is a two time Stakes Winner having won the “Box of Rain” and “Dans Payment Dirt Memorial” with both wins coming in the 2018 campaign. He is coming back on just four weeks rest with his usual routine being double that so it will be interesting to see how he responds to that.

8) troubling mission
jb3football barn
d givins                                       8/1

Out of the jb3football barn is this four year old NOBLE MISSION colt. He comes in off a third place finish last time out where he ran 103 speed at this same distance. Two back he ran a career best 112 speed in a win at eight and a half furlongs. He has performed well since being claimed having finished in the money in five of his seven starts for jb3. He should be in the mix against this competitive field of eight.

5) shipwreck bay
dunndowns barn
p harzheim                                          4/1

Out of the dunndowns barn is this six  year old TREASURE BEACH gelding. He has finished in the money in twenty-one of his twenty-nine career starts including ten wins. He has topped 100 speed in all but one of his last twenty races and hopes to keep that streak going as he goes seven furlongs for the first time out of the five hole.

4) lookin at ox lv
dontbetonme barn
k ledwith                                8/1

Out of the dontbetonme barn is this four year old OXBOW gelding. He has finished in the money in nine of his seventeen career starts which all were under past ownership. He was recently claimed and will be sent out for the first time wearing the silks of the dontbetonme barn. Most of his starts have come at a mile or greater and he has seemed to tire down the stretch so he should fare better here and may be a nice long shot pick to find a spot on the board.

6) deathinnex
newfydowns barn
h artack                                   115/1

Out of the newfydowns barn  is this four  year old EFFINEX gelding . A rare SIM birth as a 4 year old, our most inexperienced entry comes in with just four starts under his belt. He started his career with a win but has failed to find a spot on the board since as owner Newf has struggled to find races for  him to race at. He had a nice jump in speed last time out when he went 93 over a mile at an allowance race in Oklahoma. He will probably be over matched here but ownership hopes the experience will serve him well in future starts.
